There are many pharmacies and non-pharmacies selling dermal fillers, however the leading aesthetic pharmacies are warning people to be aware of products that do not have a CE kite mark.
Products sold by non official sources have had their CE mark removed from the box and syringe. These should not be used in the UK.
The latest products to have their CE mark removed are Revolax and Dermalax. The products without the CE mark are only intended for use in Asian countries because they do not conform to EU regulation, which is why the CE mark has been removed. These boxes have a statement on saying “Not intended for sale in the EU”, please ask your practitioner to show you the box if your filler is Dermalax or Revolax.
However products purchased through aesthetic pharmacies WILL have the CE mark on both the outer packaging and the syringe. You can be assured that this is then EU compliant.
A CE mark is a symbol to indicate that a product conforms with relevant EU directives regarding product safety.
Here is what to look for:
Turn over you phone and look for the CE marking, this means that the product is safe to sell under EU regulations.
